LUXEMBOURG
KARL HORSBURGH
Karl Horsburgh was born in Minden/Germany on 29 November 1957. He was educated and raised in the United Kingdom. He studied at Leeds University, Yorkshire UK and received an Honours Degree in Economics and Accounting and qualified as a United Kingdom Chartered Accountant in 1982. He is now a Fellow of the Institute and a registered auditor for Irish and UK companies.
In 1983, he came to Luxembourg and while working for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, he qualified as a Luxembourg Réviseur d'entreprises, became a partner and started up a tax department.
In 1989, Deloitte merged with KPMG Peat Marwick in Luxembourg, with whom Karl took up the position of tax partner, specialising in personal income taxes and international corporate structures.
In 1992, Karl created Horsburgh & Co. S.A., now the HT Group of companies which are recognised as both Luxembourg and international tax experts, providing a wide ranging personal service to all its Clients.
